Our facilities & staff
We carry all the equipment necessary to collect, examine, chill and/or freeze semen, perform embryo flushes and transfers, post-castration semen collections and much more, including equipment originally used by Twink Allen and his team at the Equine Fertility Unit, Newmarket, before it was forced to close in 2007. We are also equipped with a 24/7 mobile broadband connection allowing data from semen collections, freezes, inseminations etc. to be sent to owners and studs within minutes of procedures taking place. The level of portability allows us to set up at your farm, yard or stud within minutes for anything from a simple semen collection to cryopreservation and detailed semen analysis.
All services are provided by Jamie Anderson. Jamie specialised in equine reproductive physiology at Keble College, at the University of Oxford and carries out research work in conjunction with universities, companies and individuals. He has since trained with some of the world's leading experts in equine reproduction within the UK, North & South America. Being a reproductive physiologist allows him to focus on developing new techniques, and improving existing methods of semen collection, shipping, cryopreservation and improving fertility. He is particularly interested in investigative work with sub-fertile mares and stallions, and works in conjunction with a number of studs and veterinary practices on solving "problem" cases. We are backed up by Mary who works in the office and arranges semen dispatches, as well as experienced stud managers and vets at our AI centres.
